Laconia, New Hampshire – July 10, 2026 – New Hampshire’s housing crisis continues to affect families statewide, with approximately 2,245 individuals experiencing homelessness, including 423 children according to recent data. Homelessness impacts education, emotional well-being and long-term stability while limiting access to critical enrichment and workforce development opportunities.
Through its Residential Program Education Fund, Family Promise of Southern New Hampshire provides enrichment opportunities for children and educational scholarships for teens and adults. These programs expand access to educational and personal development opportunities that may otherwise be financially out of reach.
To help support these efforts, Bank of New Hampshire recently donated $5,000 to Family Promise of Southern New Hampshire’s Residential Program Education Fund.
“At Bank of New Hampshire, we believe every family deserves the opportunity to build a stable and successful future,” said Beth O’Brien, VP – Bedford Banking Officer Manager. “Family Promise of Southern New Hampshire is making a meaningful difference by providing families with the resources they need to achieve long-term stability. We are proud to support the incredible work they do to help families and individuals reach their full potential.”
Located in Nashua, Family Promise of Southern New Hampshire provides housing and stabilization services across 44 municipalities in the state’s southern region.
