Bank of New Hampshire’s Prestige Plus Members Return from an Unforgettable Journey Through France

07/28/2025

Laconia, New Hampshire – July 28, 2025 – Bank of New Hampshire Prestige Plus members recently enjoyed a spectacular two-week journey across France, filled with unforgettable experiences, rich history and breathtaking scenery.

The trip began at the majestic Versailles Royal Palace, where the group enjoyed a private tour of King Louis XIV’s royal apartments, including the opulent state rooms, the iconic Hall of Mirrors and the Queen’s lavish bedchamber. A stroll through the palace’s stunning formal gardens set to classical music was a highlight.

Next, the Prestige Plus group was transported to the picturesque Loire Valley, where they spent two nights at the 15th-century Château de Beauvois castle. During their visit, the group indulged in gourmet French cuisine and enjoyed some of the region’s finest wines at a family-run vineyard. The group then journeyed to Saint-Malo, a walled coastal village with striking views of the English Channel. Its cinematic charm was the setting for the Pulitzer Prize winning novel “All the Light We Cannot See,” which spawned a movie and a mini-series.

The trip continued with a visit to the breathtaking island commune of Le Mont-Saint-Michel, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The island’s dramatic abbey rises above winding streets and stone houses, which revealed stunning panoramic views after a 300-step walk.

A deeply moving stop in Normandy followed, where the group visited the historic D-Day landing sites and memorial museums dedicated to the allies who helped liberate France during World War II. Stops at the American Cemetery, Juno Beach, Omaha Beach, Pointe du Hoc Ranger Memorial and the town of Sainte-Mère-Église were an unforgettable experience for the group’s Veterans.

In Paris, the group toured Claude Monet’s countryside home and gardens in Giverny, which inspired his iconic Water Lilies paintings. The capital city offered classic Parisian experiences, including a scenic Seine River cruise, visits to the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe and Notre-Dame Cathedral, along with dinner at the Eiffel Tower with panoramic views of the City Lights and a cabaret dinner show at the Paradis Latin.

The final leg of the journey brought the Prestige Plus group to Marseille and the French Riviera aboard France’s high-speed train. Highlights included a visit to the charming seaside village of Cassis, featuring colorful houses, along with a scenic cruise along Calanques National Park with dramatic cliffs and turquoise waters. Another favorite was a visit to the hilltop village of Les Baux-de-Provence, followed by a visit to the Carrières de Lumières, where Monet’s masterpieces were projected onto quarry walls, accompanied by stirring music.

“This trip was more than just sightseeing — it was a celebration of culture, history and unforgettable experiences,” said Cindy Salta, VP – Prestige Plus Officer at Bank of New Hampshire. “This unforgettable trip to France created memories for our Prestige Plus members that will be cherished for a lifetime.”
