Laconia, New Hampshire – July 1, 2021 – Bank of New Hampshire is proud to make a $5,000 donation to the Organization for Refugee and Immigrant Success (ORIS) in support of their Fresh Start Food Cart.
ORIS’s mission is to aid in the resettlement of refugee and immigrant groups in the State of New Hampshire by providing assistance, training, resources and opportunities that promote self-sufficiency. The Fresh Start Food Cart began in 2019 and provides individuals in low-income community’s meaningful access to fresh fruits and vegetables.
“With the support of Bank of New Hampshire, we will be able to deliver more fresh, local, affordable fruits and vegetables to the communities we serve than ever before,” said Allison Cunningham, Associate Director for Organization for Refugee and Immigrant Success. “Our mobile food market, the Fresh Start Food Cart, is a farm stand on wheels that delivers food to the places that need it most. It serves as a link between New Hampshire farmers and communities with limited access to locally-grown produce and healthy food. Bank of New Hampshire’s donation will help us ensure that local farmers are compensated for their hard work, while we make sure no one ever walks away empty-handed due to lack of funds.”
“The Organization for Refugee and Immigrant Success is fulfilling a large need in our communities through the Fresh Start Food Cart,” said Tiffany Baert, Vice President, Marketing Officer for Bank of New Hampshire. “Access to affordable, fresh produce is important for everyone, regardless of their income. Bank of New Hampshire is thankful for the opportunity to support this program and continue to make an impact on food insecurity in our communities.”
Bank of New Hampshire is proud of this partnership as we aspire to remain an independent mutual financial institution, delivering innovative solutions and exceptional service, while assisting our employees, customers and communities to build brighter futures.
